For Entry Level Comp Sci and Engineering graduates, the following results were published by SIA.
Starting salaries are flat compared to last year for new grads in engineering, computer science, and math and science majors for the class of 2020, the National Association of Colleges and Employers reported this week.
The projected starting salary for computer science majors in 2020 is expected to be $67,411, a 0.2% decrease from last year, according to NACE. Math and sciences grads will see just a 0.5% increase to $62,488.
Engineering grads in 2020 are projected to see a starting salary of $69,961, up 1.1% from last year.
Note these projections come at an early point in the salary-reporting cycle for the class of 2020.
Starting salaries for 2020 grads in other majors include:
- Business, up 0.5% to $57,939
- Social science, up 0.2% to $57,425
- Communications, up 8.5% to $56,484
- Humanities, down 5.4% to $53,617
- Agricultural and natural resources, down 4.0% to $53,504
