Apart from their raw talent, what two words best describes why certain athletes are so amazingly successful in their respected sports?
They PRACTICE
- They stand at the foul line practicing foul shouts for hours
- They stand in the batting cage for hours swinging at ball after ball
- They hit thousands of golf balls not only on the range but on the course in every possible lie
- They kick field goals from every angle and from every conceivable distance
- They stand at the baseline serving ball after ball after ball
- They MENTALLY prepare for every contingency
- They are PREPARED for battle
They PRACTICE
PRACTICE is what makes them all successful over and beyond their innate talent. And it’s PRACTICE that will make you successful on your interviews. You need to be ready for every fast ball, curve ball and screw ball thrown at you by the interviewer. You need to anticipate the obvious questions and prepare for those less so.
C’mon, isn’t interviewing like taking a test? When you were in school, assuming you wanted to get a good grade, didn’t you study? And weren’t you a tad more relaxed going in prepared as opposed to going in winging it?
So, make it easy for yourself, PRACTICE, PREPARE, STUDY and NAIL IT!!
