When it comes to making decisions, especially those which have a significant impact on people’s lives, wouldn’t you agree you need the facts?  If the unemployment rate sky rocketed in technology to record heights I would agree there should be scrutiny on our H1b process, scope and limitations.  However, as COVID continues to ravage through the U.S., unemployment in STEM related professions (including IT), per Forbes and Inc. Magazine ,stands at 3.5% in September 2020 and has not changed significantly from the 3% unemployment in January 2020 (Pre-COVID).    So why has the DOL and DHS published “interim final” rules to restrict H-1b Visas leveraging the “good cause” provision effectively eliminating public comment?   And where will the resources come from if we throw everyone out which is the hidden agenda with the current administration?
